Meet Your Trainer

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) and a Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP).

I’ve always had a passion for helping animals and my life has always happily revolved around working with them. As a former vet tech, I will always be passionate about veterinary medicine, but dog training has always given me the best of both worlds by helping dogs and people.

Then I discovered my true passion within dog training: behavior modification. I am extremely dedicated to helping dogs no matter the intensity of their behaviors. For me this isn’t just a job, this is my passion and my career.

I employ training tactics that use both classical and operant conditioning, and place a huge focus on a dog’s emotional state to help them work through their problems.

Training Style and Methodology

At my core, I believe that training with compassion using a fear-free curriculum is the most effective and gentle way to train any dog. Through my years of experience and successful graduations, I have seen this method is what creates long lasting results.

This involves using plenty of rewards to increase the frequency of good behaviors and desensitizing or counterconditioning your dog to things they find overwhelming. As well as making sure that your dog is excited and a willing participant in their own training. Adding to your dogs’ anxiety, stress and fear is to be avoided at all costs.

In order to get you and your dog to graduation I don’t just train the dog, I train the owners too! My goal is to make sure you are 100% confident handling your dog in any situation. With my easy to follow programs, you will pick up on everything right away. You and your dog will be on your way to graduation in no time!

I am committed to using positive scientifically backed methods and will never cause harm, dominate, or scare your dog in order to get results.
